I believe our number one human need is to be seen. We need a witness to our soul. We need a witness to the dreams that burn like a inferno within us.
At some point or another, we have all wished someone would discover the hidden talent, creativity, and beauty that lies inside of us.
Why not? It happened in the movie, Cinderella. It happens in Hollywood. It happens in business. And it even happens in churches.
If you want to be famous, here is my advice:
Serve ONE before you serve fifty.
Push someone else forward.
Collaborate with people different than you.
Trade recognition for humility.
Promote what is just.
Love those who are different.
Choose compassion instead of criticism.
Be ruled by truth instead of emotion.
Stop waiting for someone to uncover your amazing talent. Instead, ACT by putting it to use for the good of mankind.
Make it your goal to put the name of God is lights instead of your own.
Lastly, be encouraged by the words of Romans 9:17 “I raised you up for this very purpose, that I might display my power in you and that my name might be proclaimed in all the earth.”

January 25, 2017Love this perspective Angela. Thank you for reminding us that our gifts were given to make God famous…not ourselves. When we use them for his purposes is when we find the greatest fulfillment.
